Come on out and join us. Hiking is the perfect way to get out, meet friends, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Tampa Bay area.

We'll be hiking along the shoreline trail, enjoy the view of Old Tampa Bay, visit the site of Count Philippe’s grave and a Tocobago Indian Mound.
We'll meet at the park and proceed South on Bayshore for 2 miles to downtown Safety Harbor.
If we have time, we might stop for lunch.

Meeting Location: From the park entrance, take a right at the water, and park immediately on the left parking area facing the water.

Suggested items to bring: Lot's of fun, water, binoculars, proper footwear, snack and your camera.

Please don't forget to RSVP, the sooner the better, as a courtesy to the host(s) and to encourage others to come out as well.

This Park is the site of Count Odet Philippe’s grave (1785-1869) and a Tocobago Indian Mound. The mound and its surrounding areas were first excavated in 1880. After several more archeological observations and excavations numerous Indian relic were found extending from 1400 to 1700 A.D.
