Bugs, Fixes, and High Fives: A Django Debugging Workshop!

Details

Details
Join us for a hands-on workshop on building web applications with Django! In this workshop, we'll focus on fixing bugs in an existing code repository for a voting web application, accompanied by hints and tips to help you resolve the issues.

Please note that prior knowledge of Django is not required to participate in this workshop, but some familiarity with web development and programming concepts will be helpful.

Developers interested in participating in the workshop will need a GitHub account and some familiarity with GitHub and Codespaces. When you RSVP, please provide your GitHub username so we can send you an invite and instructions for setting up a GitHub repository and linking it to the GitHub App.

During the workshop, we'll walk through the process of fixing two bugs in the voting app codebase, offering tips and guidance for effective debugging. Participants can then download the code and fix the bugs themselves, with support and guidance from each other and the speaker.

We'll also discuss some of Django's key features, such as models, views, templates, and the ORM, and explore how these features are used in web applications. This workshop is a great way to expand your skills and learn more about building web applications with this powerful framework.

Take advantage of this opportunity to connect with other developers, dive into Django, and explore the process of building and debugging web applications. We hope to see you there!
