Who Needs Testing?
Our post turkey talk will be presented by William aka "Cat Skinner:"
There are many ways to skin a cat and this one happens to be very furry one. Testing is that thing you first hear about and think "yeah one day I'll do it" or maybe "pfft who needs it, I'm an awesome coder?" Well, I'm here to help you get over those thoughts/prove you wrong and give you more tools to work with.
I'll present:- A quick overview on testing tools and debugging tips- Simple examples as to why you need tests- Quick follow along tutorials into using Selenium, pdb, pytest.
We'll let you know when the github repo is ready for sneak peek. I'll be using mainstay packages readily available via pip, but you probably want to get them installed in advance so if you need any help, we can get you going before the presentation starts.
You will get the most out of this event if you can bring:
• A laptop with python installed (and perhaps your favorite IDE)!
• For best results, install Selenium, pdb, pytest in advance
