This group is aimed at helping people learn and teach each other about the fascinating field of electronics. Beginners and Experts are both welcome.
Have you ever wondered what is inside a computer or robot? When you hear or read about integrated circuits, chips, transistors, diodes, resistors, capacitors, inductors, etc. do you wish you could build some of those electronic circuits and have a basic working knowledge of how they work. Are you a techie, but also creative and good with your hands? Then this meetup is for you!
This meetup is primarily for beginners in the world of electrical devices and electronic circuits. However, if you are well versed in electronics and want to help others learn, we need you too!
We hope to have a group where we can all learn and teach each other while having fun, in a casual atmosphere. We are hoping to not charge dues/fees; however, please understand that you will need to provide some modestly priced tools and components to be able to build projects. Those providing demonstrations and tutorials will need to fund their own offerings and work with the leadership to ensure the group receives maximum benefit.
We plan to meet at various venues in the Tampa area and will adjust the locations and schedules to accommodate our membership to the extent possible. The leadership will be open to suggestions on how to make the group more rewarding and the meetups more enjoyable and effective.
