Harvey Hyman - "The Database Whisperer" - presents - Joins

In this session, you will learn everything you ever wanted to know, or wondered about regarding joins. You will be walked through each type of join and when is best to use each.

About Harvey:

Harvey Hyman is an instructor in the Information Systems and Decision Sciences Department. He currently teaches Database Design and Administration and Systems Analysis and Design

He has more than 25 years' experience in the fields of law, technology, and military service. His most recent professional positions include The Library of Congress, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Queens CUNY College. His most recent research has been in the areas of disaster recovery, cloud computing adoption strategy and infrastructure architecture while at the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center in Washington, D.C. He has previously taught at St. Leo University, Georgia Southern University, Florida Polytechnic University and New College of Florida.

Harvey Hyman's degrees are: a PhD in information systems/decision science from USF, an MBA from Charleston Southern University, a JD from University of Miami and bachelor's degree from Florida International University. He is a Senior Chief (E8) in the U.S. Coast Guard, and is a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Our meetings start at 6:00p.m. for food and networking. About 6:30p.m. we kick off with announcements and then start the presentation, usually about 6:45p.m.
