Road Cycling for fitness with safety and regularity to optimize the stability of the group as a primary goal. We are from all walks of life… but we all love safe cycling! New members should be able to maintain 20-22 mph for at least 40 miles in a pace line and abide by cycling rules of the road. When you submit a request to become a member make sure your profile has your name and picture.

Elite rides, Share the Road Ride, 52 miles

We will be joining the Charity “Share the Road Ride” in St. Pete.

The pace will be 20-21 on the flats but in general this is a flat ride except for the bridges. NO accelerations up the bridges to keep the group together please!!The ride starts at Green Bench Brewing (1133 Baum Ave N. St. Petersburg FL 33705), 8am opening remarks, ride starts at 8:30am. Route goes around downtown and out to Pass-a-Grille and Fort De Soto. The total mileage is 52 miles. After the ride there will be beers & Refreshments @Green Bench Brewing Co. & a fun Bike Build Competition! Teams of four will race to build a kids' bike, which will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast. If you are doing this ride we strongly encourage you to participate in the bike building contest. After you finish you can head over to Vic’s cottage at Indian Rocks Beach for an afternoon at the beach!

All riders are expected to ride in a pace line safely. New riders are expected to hang in the rear of the group to get acclimated. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time so the group can discuss the plans, introduce new riders and leave on time. Everyone rides at their own risk and this group assumes no responsibility for any injuries. Team Elite is not responsible for any injuries that may occur during any event we host.
