The base ride will start from the @ 54 trailhead at 7:30AM sharp & will be traveling north at minimum to Anderson Snow ASSC(42 miles), then to Route 98(+ 37 miles) round trip & Total distance are detailed below.
Early Risers that want more miles: 6:15 am SR54-52 adds +20 miles to the base ride above. The 6:15 am start will be in the dark, so please bring your lights and the pace will be slower.
Total Distances:
54 -ASSC =42 miles
54-SR50 bathrooml=52miles
54 -SR= 78 miles
The early start 6:15amriders will have a century 100 miles if they add on a few extra miles at the end.
Please inform Victor of your plans so we can coordinate meeting times/Stops.
We will be heading north on the trail making short bathroom pitstops at Anderson Snow,State Road 98 pitstop#2, before heading all the way back toward SR54. On the way back we will stop at the Barclay’s Publix off of & west of the trail for a Bathroom break and provisions. Please bring enough food, water and electrolytes for the ride especially if you plan on riding the longer distances.
The ASSC to SR98 section has 1300+ feet of elevation so be prepared to climb a bit. We can regroup after the bigger climbs and slow down the pace on this section.
We can regroup after the Hilly
sections (Centrailia/50 bathrooms on way back only/SR98) No accelerating up hills please nor taking off after the intersections. Pick up the pace SLOWLY after crossings.
Nice pace is the plan 20-22 on flats depending on who is in the group but the goal is to stick together. Do not do the longer distance if your are not prepared please. The first 42 miles will be a no drop ride but it gets more difficult to keep the group together in the hills. Strong riders can pull more so we can maintain a decent pace especially on the flat 54- ASSC section:
Roll out times Again are
6:15am from SR 54
7:30 am on trail at SR52

Pull as long as you like after the ASSC stop or rotating with minimal or no pull is fine. The exception, the final stretch from the entrance of Starkey Park to 54 on the way back you can go as fast as you like…..on the 42 mile group.

All riders are expected to ride in a pace line safely. New riders are expected to hang in the rear of the group to get acclimated. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time so the group can discuss the plans, introduce new riders and leave on time.

Everyone rides at their own risk and this group assumes no responsibility for any injuries. Team Elite is not responsible for any injuries that may occur during any event we host. Paceline experience is expected if you want to attend this group ride
