As our good friend Mr. Callaway (yes, I mean Andy) likes to say, “there’s no such thing as bad weather for riding, only poorly dressed riders!”

It’s going to be cold so break out the toe covers, neck gators, thermal layers, Jackets and get yourself to this ride! We start from Anderson Snow Park at 7:30am. The ride is simple; we ride North to the end of the Suncoast trail and back for a total of 68 miles. There are variations listed below if you want more/less miles. We will cover the new section of trail that goes up to W Norvell Bryant Highway. If we get enough interest we can grab breakfast at the end at "Up 4 Breakfast" afterward (bring cash, no cards accepted).

Mileage and start times:

  1. 88 mile riders start from Anderson Snow at 6:30am, head South on the Suncoast for 10 miles and turn around and head north to meet the 7:30am group.
  2. 68 mile riders, leave Anderson at 7:30am or when the 6:30am crowd returns.
  3. Make up your own ride. Jump in with the group as we move up and down the Suncoast Trail and exit when you want! Or ride extra miles at the end when its likely to be much warmer.

You will need lights if you start with the 6:30am group. We will pace ourselves at 19 to 22 mph on flats (wind permitting). We will regroup after each of the climbs. Please be aware that this is not a no drop ride. If you are uncertain if you can hang, take short pulls or skip a pull(s). We would rather have you hang on to the group than drop. If you have a mechanical please yell as much and we will stop and help you!
All riders are expected to ride in a pace line safely. New riders are expected to hang in the rear of the group to get acclimated. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start time so the group can discuss the plans, introduce new riders and leave on time. Everyone rides at their own risk and this group assumes no responsibility for any injuries. Team Elite is not responsible for any injuries that may occur during any event we host. Paceline experience is expected if you want to attend this group ride.
