Intro to Scala for Java Developers

Details
Come out to KForce's new office in Midtown Tampa and join the Tampa Java User Group to hear from Steve Waldman talk about Scala.
Quick tip about Scala is it's a functional language that runs on the JVM. 3rd most popular after Java and Kotlin.
Agenda:
5:30 - 6:30: Networking and food/refreshments
6:30 - 7:30: KForce intro + Scala talk
7:30 - 8:00: Closing with raffle/quiz
Speaker Bio:
Steve Waldman started writing and then teaching Java in 1996. He's the author of once prominent, now badly maintained open source projects, such as the database connection pool c3p0. In 2009 he found Scala, and never looked back. Scratch that. He sometimes looks back. But mostly he thinks Scala is cool and hopes that you will too. Steve also blogs, mostly about finance and economics and politics, at interfluidity.com
Parking and Location:
Parking instructions from KForce. Pretty much unmarked spot on 3rd floor of Waterview parking garage but verbatim details below:
"We can park on the 3rd floor of the water street parking ramp, located directly across from the front entrance of the building. When you enter the garage, drive up the long incline and turn the corner. Keep driving away from the building on this floor until you see parking spots without signs. Any spot without a sign on it is fair game.
After you park, walk across the sky bridge. I will be down there by the entrance to ensure everyone finds it alright."
