About us
Tampa Bay Kayak Community is a local group for people who enjoy getting out on the water in a relaxed, low-pressure way.
We host self-guided kayak meetups, primarily launching from Philippe Park, where participants paddle at their own pace within a designated area. These are not guided tours or lessons — just casual community paddles meant to enjoy the water and connect with others who love the outdoors.
Some community events may be offered free for first-time participants in exchange for photos and an honest review to help support future events. Photos shared by participants may occasionally be reposted on the group’s website or social media.
Kayaks, paddles, and life vests may be provided at select meetups.
All participants must be comfortable paddling independently and must sign a waiver prior to launch.
Events are hosted by iKayak Tampa Bay, a local kayak rental provider.
