Concerned about CAIR presenting in our Children's Classrooms

HELP PROTECT OUR CHILDREN AND SHOW UP AT SCHOOL BOARD MTG on 2/28

CAIR, who has ties to terrorist organization HAMAS, is in our Children's Classrooms in Hillsborough County.

Hassan Shibly, Executive Director of CAIR in Tampa, a man who has said that
Hezbollah is not a terrorist organization, was invited into Hillsborough
County schools to explain Islam to students. Hassan leads an organization that has been named in federal court as an entity of the terrorist organization Hamas and as a co-conspirator in the largest terrorist funding trial in US history, a man who says that Hezbollah isn't a terrorist organization, is invited into the classroom to teach our children!

The Education Coalition, that includes the Tampa Tea Party, came together to make sure this travesty doesn't happen again --- and we need your help.

A standing room only crowd was at the last meeting on February 14th. At that meeting, we asked that the School Board schedule a public and transparent workshop to discuss this issue. School Board member Stacy White introduced a motion for a workshop but it was voted down 5-2. (White & Valdes voted for)

The Board saw the community's concern and that's what has led 6 of the 7
School Board members to schedule meetings with Education Coalition leaders
to discuss this situation.

The School Board needs to know that the community is standing together in
opposition to having an organization that is implicated in terrorism making
presentations to our kids and that this issue isn't going to go away until
they do the right thing! Note that School Board Districts 1, 3, 5 and county-wide 7 are up for election in November.

Protect our children and attend the next school board meeting on February 28, 2012 from about 4:00 to about 6:00. Please wear a red shirt to show our solidarity on this issue. Public comment is about 5pm.

You don't even need to sign up to speak at this meeting.

Let's have more people than last time show the School Board this issue is not going away and the Education Coalition will have speakers who will focus on calling specifically for this item to be put on the agenda so that the truth can come out.
