UX Stories: Content

Details

Do you ever wonder what it's like to be a UX Content Writer/Strategist? What does their typical day look like? How do they approach their work? How do they know when content is good, when it's right, and when it works?

Join us to hear stories from 3 experienced UX Content Writers/Strategists and get all your questions answered (or at least all the questions they can answer in the time allowed). Find out how their experiences, good and bad, can help us all become better UX practitioners, co-workers, and advocates.

Meet Our Panelists
Kelly Smith
Kelly is a Florida transplant from Indianapolis, IN and has been in the UX arena for almost 10 years now. She started her career as a French and English teacher and transitioned into UX almost by accident, but has never looked back. At CivicActions, she work as a government contractor for the Department of Veterans Affairs on the check-in team. When not working, she and her husband enjoy traveling to new and old places, watching Lightning (and Blackhawks) hockey games, and attending any baseball games being played.

Kendall Davis
Kendall graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications. She was hired on Publix’s corporate communications team as a digital communications specialist in 2020, then was promoted to a UX content designer on the team in 2022. She has a UX certification from Nielsen Norman Group and is eager to continue growing her experience in UX.

Kevin Flinn
Kevin is originally from the Midwest and has been shaping content for over a decade. His career began aboard a Navy ship, managing hundreds of Sailors writing technical documentation for ship maintenance. Since joining Evernorth, he's stood up content for three digital products as the Sr. UX Content Strategist and Team Lead. Now, as a Sr. Content Architect, he's focusing on orchestrating content and semantics across systems. Outside of work, Kevin's passions include delving into literature and philosophy, hiking, practicing yoga and grappling, eating organic food from local farms, and spending time with his fiancée.
