About the event
Building the right software starts with truly understanding your users. Yet, far too often, as Alberto Brandolini, the creator of EventStorming, aptly points out, "It’s not the domain expert’s knowledge that goes into production; it’s the developer’s assumption of that knowledge." This gap often leads to misaligned solutions and missed opportunities. As a Product Leader, your ability to bridge the gap between domain experts and technologists is key to creating successful products.
EventStorming is a collaborative technique designed to explore complex business domains. It empowers you, as a Product Leader, to bring together diverse perspectives and align on a clear, technology-neutral understanding of the business and the problems at hand. By fostering a shared language and making implicit knowledge explicit, EventStorming paves the way for common understanding before diving into solution design.
In this session, I’ll introduce you to the different forms and applications of EventStorming. Then, we’ll engage in a hands-on, interactive experience. With just a few colored stickies and guided role-play, we’ll uncover how this technique can lead to richer conversations, better decision-making, and stronger alignment between you, your domain experts, and your technology team.
Join me as we explore how EventStorming can elevate your collaboration skills and empower your team to create exceptional products.
