Learn to Swing Dance at the German American Society in Pinellas Park

The Gulfport Casino is still under construction so the weekly Wednesday Swing dances are still being held at the German American Society on 66th St in Pinellas Park.

No partner needed! Everyone dances with everyone else.

The most fun you can have with your clothes on! Seriously anyone can learn this easy Jitterbug (East Coast Swing) in an hour. Sam the DJ teaches a lesson from 7:00PM to 8:00PM every Wednesday. Please get there a few minutes early so you don't miss the beginning of the lesson. Only $10 admission includes all. There is a bar so no outside beverages including water, please. They will give you a small cup of water if you ask or you can purchase a bottle of water for $2.

No experience necessary and no partner needed. Partners are rotated around the dance floor during the lesson so everyone gets a chance to learn and to practice. There are usually 50-100 dancers on an average Wednesday.

And starting a 8:00PM there is open dancing for the next few hours using the skills you have just learned, Everyone dances with everyone else, so don't be shy. Just tell them you are a beginner and get out on the floor and dance.
