Join us on Saturday, June 13th as we explore one of Florida's most unique hiking destinations: Dames Caves and the Lizzie Heart Sink Loop in the Citrus Tract of Withlacoochee State Forest.

This trail features some of Florida's most interesting geological features, including limestone caves, sinkholes, rolling terrain, and shaded forest paths. We'll visit the famous Dames Caves and Lizzie Heart Sink while enjoying a scenic loop through the forest. The trail can be uneven in places with exposed roots and rocky sections, so sturdy footwear is recommended.
What to bring:
• Plenty of water
• Bug spray
• Flashlight or headlamp if you'd like to explore the caves
• Closed-toe hiking shoes
• Snacks if desired
Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time. As always, no one gets left behind, and hikers of all experience levels are welcome as long as you're comfortable with a moderate 4-mile hike.
