We will meet at 6:30 pm for some casual networking. Bottled water will be available and feel free to bring your own food.

At about 7:00 pm, Mark Wahnish will walk us through the basics of using Blender. Blender is an extremely powerful free and open-source alternative to 3D modeling tools like 3DS Max or Maya, and integrates well with Unity. Topics covered will include the Blender user interface and workflow with Unity, 3D modeling, and texturing if time permits. Bring your laptops, this will be an interactive tutorial!

Important note – Blender is operated mainly through keyboard shortcuts, and so is very difficult to use on a laptop mousepad, or keyboards without a numpad. It is highly recommended you bring a mouse and buy or borrow a USB numpad if your laptop keyboard doesn’t have one. Amazon has a few under $10 with Prime shipping!
