WPTampere: The Aftermath of PHP2Shell & Lessons learned
Details
Did PHP2Shell affect your WordPress sites, or did you manage to dodge the bullet?
This November, we're skipping the slides and opening the floor for discussion! The meetup starts at 17:00 @ Teerenpeli, in the centre of Tampere (https://www.teerenpeli.com/en/Restaurants/Tampere-Teerenpeli).
Let's get together to share our experiences with PHP2Shell, discuss the aftermath, and exchange ideas on how to better prepare for the next big WordPress security vulnerability.
Some topics to get the conversation started:
- Did PHP2Shell affect you or your clients?
- How did you investigate and handle the situation?
- Are there still loose ends to deal with?
- What did we learn, and what would we do differently next time?
- What tools and practices help keep WordPress sites secure?
No presentations, no speakers — just an open conversation with fellow WordPress enthusiasts.
You don't need to be a security expert or have firsthand experience with PHPShell to join. Come share your thoughts, ask questions, or simply learn from others!
See you in Teerenpeli!
