The group has been running for over 10 years now (first session was on March 2nd 2015) and is for anyone who wants to play games. We play board games, dice games, tile games, card games, co-op games, and even 'silly' games sometimes – in fact we play pretty much anything !!
Examples of games we've played recently are Bomb Busters, Viticulture, Bang Dice, Magic Maze, Summoner's Isle, Battlestar Galactica, Castles Of Burgundy, Shadows Over Camelot, Master Of Orion, Codenames, and No Thanks.
We meet every Thursday from 7pm until around 11pm, alternating week by week between Tamworth and Lichfield, and new players are always welcome. We use the same venue in each town centre with easy car parking nearby, and if someone can't make the start time they can just roll up when they can and join the next game.
Usually there's around a dozen or more attendees, so we have at least two or three tables running simultaneously. Occasionally we'll schedule a specific game for a session, especially if it's a long one, but generally we decide on the night what we'll play - there's several of us who bring along a bag full of games so there's never a shortage to choose from.
There's no rules about what games people can bring as we play anything, and there's absolutely no obligation for anyone to bring any games along as we've always got plenty. No-one has yet brought along Monopoly or Risk but if they did we may well play them !!
The group itself doesn't charge anything and Lichfield sessions are free as they're in a pub, but the venue we use in Tamworth levies a £2 charge per person per session as a contribution to the lease.

For sessions in Lichfield at the Brewhouse & Kitchen the nearest car parks are the Friary Inner on the Friary at WS13 6QH or Sandford Street at WS13 6QA, but both are only small (45 spaces). Alternatives, both on the Friary, are Friary multi-story at WS13 6QE or University West WS13 6QG. All four car parks cost £1.50 after 6pm.
