Tango Beginner Class at HTWK

Get into Tango with our new Beginner Class!

You are curious about Tango and like to get to know its magic? Then this is the right class for you. Learn how to dance Tango, get to know friendly people and have fun!

In the beginner Tango class you will learn:
- The basics of Tango Argentino
- How to move on the dancefloor (the pista) of a Tango dance party called "Milonga"
- How to embrace someone in a gentle way while dancing
- How to communicate your movements to your dance partner and improvise to Tango music together

Further we will introduce you to the Tango Community in Leipzig.

Please bring a pair of clean shoes for change:
- dance shoes with leather sole
- sneakers with white sole, which enable you to do turns on one foot ("pivots")
- sneakers taped with ducked tape on the bottom

At 23th October we start with the first lesson and continue every week until 9th February. During the first lessons you can try it out and register later.

The class is open for students and everyone else not studying. You can join as a single without a partner. You can try out for free (please use RSVP of Meetup). If you plan to come more often, please register here for the whole class:

• Registration starts 30th September for students and 2th October for employees & externals
• you are able to register after the class has started, if spots are available
• it is only a small fee for the whole class and you support sports at university with it
