What we’re about
Humanity has consistently sought to comprehend creation and its origins, driven by an inherent desire to understand the roots and purpose of our existence within the vastness of the Universe and its numerous realms, including our physical world.
Historically, diverse civilizations and cultures have endeavoured to name and define this Source Energy of Creation, often conceptualizing it through anthropomorphic or deified figures. The Tao Te Ching uniquely presents Lao Tzu's exploration and explanation of this Source Energy in its fundamental, astronomical form. Consequently, within Tao Seekers, we utilize the term "Tao" as a referent to this universal energy.
It is crucial to clarify that our use of "Tao" is solely for the efficient description of the Source Energy of Creation. We maintain no affiliations with any cultural or religious connotations associated with Taoism, Buddhism, or any other established religion. We contend that neither Lao Tzu, when composing the Tao Te Ching over two millennia ago, nor Jesus, in disseminating the words of God, intended to establish a religious institution.
The sutras and the Bible serve as significant documentation of the dialogues and lives of profound spiritual practitioners who achieved deep alignment with Tao. Accordingly, our topic presentations will integrate relevant teachings and wisdom from the Tao Te Ching, the Bible, and various other sutras, religious texts, cultural systems, and mythologies. We actively encourage contributions from participants holding diverse spiritual perspectives during our discussions.
Tao Seekers' Topic Presentations will encompass spiritual origins, foundational principles, and practical real-life experiences concerning spiritual cultivation in the contemporary socio-economic landscape. Our objective is to facilitate spiritual elevation and closer alignment with the Source Energy of Creation (Tao).
These events will be held fortnightly online on the first and third Saturdays of every month from 7 pm to 9 pm. The potential for an in-person meetup for the final event of a series will be determined by attendance and demand. Specific event invitations and details will be disseminated for each session within the series. We anticipate your participation.
