Generative Tarot Writing Workshop

Details

If creativity is a muscle, this is your invitation to come workout with us. Something magical happens when two or more gather—especially if they each bring along their tarot cards. Come together, share your voice, and let the cards lead the way.

A generative workshop is about generating content. This is not a lecture. This is not about waiting for the muse. This workshop is about showing up for your creativity, putting pen to paper, and discovering the stories that flow from within. Your tarot deck will be your partner in this exploration. It’s a tool for finding the questions, for opening the door. It’s a tool to access ideas you didn’t know were there inside of you. Bring a tarot deck that feels right to you.

Our process:

We will each draw a tarot card—a gesture, an opening.

We will write for ten minutes—a rhythm, a breath, a moment suspended.

We will share what we’ve created—fragments, stories, echoes of thought.

Then we will repeat, allowing each round to deepen the experience.

This workshop is more than just a writing exercise—it’s a chance to deepen your connection to tarot, spark your creativity, and join a community of writers and readers. No writing or tarot experience is required. Let’s gather, write, and celebrate the stories that emerge.

A few expectations to know before you join us:

  1. Arrive on time; no one will be permitted past the first 15 minutes.
  2. Be camera ready; we are a small group that aims to hold a space of trust. We warmly welcome newcomers to participate—not to watch us anonymously.
  3. This meeting is recorded for the organizer’s private records only. Recordings are never shared publicly. This helps with planning, summaries, and ensuring a safe space for all participants.
  4. We welcome all levels of tarot readers, writers, artists, and meditators and activities are designed accordingly. Those new to any of these disciplines will receive ample support.

While there is no fee for this event, there is a suggested donation asked of $5 to $10 to cover the Meetup and Zoom fees.

If you are able to contribute any amount, it is greatly appreciated.

Donations can be offered here: Venmo or PayPal/Credit/Debit

**Please choose "family & friends" since there are no "goods or services" being exchanged.
