B18 - Efland Cheeks Edition
Details
Looks like a rainy Saturday. Let's try Sunday.
Tired of the same roads? Let's start at a different location to see some different roads. We will head to Lake Cammuck and sit on the porch.
Starting place: Parking lot at Efland Cheeks Elementary School. 4401 Fuller Rd, Efland, NC 27243. There is a community center nearby but it does not have much parking. Yes, you will have to get up a bit earlier.
Goal is a group ride, maintaining an organized pace line, going easy on the climbs and speeding up on the descents and communicating potential hazards to the group.
Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/38877612
Your responsibility as part of the group is to RSVP and supply your own cue sheet or download the GPS file. RSVP is required. If you plan to join the ride in progress, leave a comment below on where we can expect to meet you.
NOTE!
This is NOT a no-drop ride. All riders are expected to be skilled and experienced in SAFE pace line riding and capable of maintaining an average pace of ~18 mph. The ride is limited to 20 riders. We may split the group into two smaller groups, depending on how many show up.
Ebikes are welcome. However, with great power comes great responsibility. Non Ebike riders set the pace and folks on an Ebike must be mindful the group at all times. Do not push the pace. If the motor cuts off descending a hill, pedal to maintain the pace of the group.
It is Tarwheels policy for all riders to sign the ride waiver before coming out to the ride.

MEMBERS need only do this ONCE a YEAR. NON-MEMBERS are required to do this before EACH RIDE, please consider becoming a member.
