What we’re about
Welcome to Tastes Like Spain! We are a group of six young Spaniards, full of excitement to bring Spanish culture and cuisine to Finland.
We offer cooking workshops on Saturdays from 2 to 5 PM, in small, special events with limited spots. Our current workshop, Spanish Home Cooking, is a true journey through Spain: you’ll learn to cook some of the country’s most iconic and important recipes while discovering the secrets of our gastronomy.
But it’s not just cooking: the classes are held in Spanish, giving you a unique opportunity to practice the language while you cook! Don’t worry if your Spanish isn’t perfect — all our instructors speak fluent English and can answer any questions.
The workshop is open to all levels, from beginners to more experienced cooks. Come and enjoy Spanish food, culture, and language in a fun and authentic atmosphere.

¡Welcome to Tastes Like Spain! We are six young Spaniards bringing the flavors and culture of Spain to Helsinki.
Our Spanish Home Cooking workshop is a journey through Spain: you’ll learn to cook some of the country’s most iconic recipes while discovering the secrets of Spanish gastronomy and culinary traditions.
What to Expect:
- 2:00 PM – 2:15 PM: Welcome, introductions, and overview of the workshop.
- 2:15 PM – 4:30 PM: Hands-on cooking of traditional Spanish dishes, guided by our instructors.
- 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Wrap-up. Bring a tupper just in case, so you can take your food home.
Extras that make it special:
- Tinto de verano (Spanish-style wine drink) will be served.
- Aprons provided to keep you comfortable while cooking.
- At the end of the workshop, you’ll receive a little surprise to take home – we won’t spoil it!
What to Bring:
- Yourself and your appetite!
- A tupper to take food home, just in case.
- Optional: notebook or phone if you want to take notes or photos.
