Taste the World

Taste the World is a cultural exchange program brought to you by World Unity Alliance. This program is designed to connect people from different cultures through the universal language of food. Over the course of this one-day event, participants will gather to learn about, cook, and enjoy traditional dishes from a selected country. More than just a cooking class, this program provides an immersive experience where you can share stories, understand cultural values, and make meaningful connections with people from around the world.

What to Expect:

• Cooking Workshop: Learn how to prepare traditional dishes guided by a professional chef or a native from the featured country.
• Cultural Insights: While cooking, you’ll hear about the cultural significance of each dish, its history, and how it represents the people of that region.
• Shared Meal: After cooking, participants will sit together to enjoy the meal, fostering open conversations about culture, traditions, and personal stories.
• Interactive Activities: Small games, music, or storytelling sessions may be included to create a relaxed and fun environment.

Each event focuses on a specific country or region. For example, you might learn to make Italian pasta one month, followed by Indian curry or Korean kimchi the next. This ever-changing theme ensures each session is unique and engaging.

Reservations:
To ensure a smooth experience, advance booking is required as spots are limited. Reservations close 5 days before the event to allow time for ingredient preparation and logistics. Only registered participants will receive details about the event location and schedule.

Participation Fee:Due to venue rental, chef invitations, and ingredient costs, a participation fee of 40,000 KRW per person will be charged. WUA members receive a 10% discount. This fee includes:

• All ingredients and cooking tools.
• Guidance from a professional chef.
• Access to the cultural session and group meal.

1. Respect and Inclusion: Be respectful of everyone’s cultural backgrounds and cooking experiences.
2. Punctuality: Arrive on time so the workshop can start as planned.
3. Clean Environment: Help clean up after cooking to ensure the venue is left tidy.
4. Active Participation: Engage in the cooking and discussions to make the most of the experience.

프로그램 구성:

• 요리 워크숍: 전문 셰프 또는 해당 국가 출신의 강사와 함께 전통 요리를 배웁니다.
• 문화적 통찰: 요리 과정 중 각 요리에 담긴 문화적 의미, 역사, 그리고 그 나라의 전통을 배울 수 있습니다.
• 공동 식사: 요리가 끝난 후 함께 만든 음식을 나누며 문화, 전통, 개인적인 이야기에 대해 자유롭게 대화합니다.
• 참여 활동: 간단한 게임, 음악, 스토리텔링 등의 활동을 통해 편안하고 즐거운 분위기를 조성합니다.

이 프로그램은 매회 특정 국가나 지역을 테마로 진행됩니다. 예를 들어, 한 달은 이탈리아의 파스타를 배우고, 다음 달은 인도의 커리, 그다음 달은 한국의 김치를 만드는 등 매번 색다른 주제로 즐길 수 있습니다.

예약 안내:원활한 진행을 위해 사전 예약이 필수입니다. 참가 인원은 제한되어 있으니, 서둘러 예약하세요! 재료 준비와 장소 대여 등을 위해 예약은 행사 5일 전에 마감되며, 예약 확정자에게만 장소와 일정이 공유됩니다.

참가비 안내:장소 대여, 셰프 초청, 재료비 등을 포함하여 1인당 40,000원의 참가비가 필요합니다. WUA 회원에게는 10% 할인 혜택이 제공됩니다. 참가비에는 다음이 포함됩니다:

• 요리에 필요한 모든 재료와 도구.
• 전문 셰프의 강의 및 요리 지도.
• 문화 세션과 단체 식사 참여.
