Each month, Natural Awakenings has a primary theme or topic, as well as a bonus topic of conversation. Here's the calendar of topics for 2019 so you can plan News Briefs, calendar of events, and more!

Planning Ahead

March's Theme: Nutrition Upgrades & Managing Allergies

Deadline to get your stuff in: Friday, 2/15

Upcoming Themes:

  • April: Sustainable Living PLUS Creative Arts Therapy
  • May: Mental & Emotional Well-Being PLUS Healthy Vision
  • June: Brain Health PLUS Green Building Trends
Do you need the Advertising Planning Calendar to help plan out News/Health Briefs that are included in your advertising contract? Want to correlate events with the theme of the magazine so your event stands out more? It's a great tool!

NATC Networking Social

Tuesday, Feb. 12 - 6:15 to 8:30 PM (normally 6:30 to 8 PM)

Come join us for the February NATC Networking Social!

Originally I was planning on having these events at craft breweries, coffee houses, and at advertisers places of business. (If you have a location in mind or would like to host, please let me know!) The goal behind this is to help build a stronger sense of community among the business professionals.

The February Event will be co-hosted by the Upper Midwest Hanmi Buddhist Association, Psinergy Natural Health, and Psinergy Tech! (We're all in the same building... so, this makes it easier!).

*Note: Normally I'm planning on these being from 6:30 to 8 PM, though this time it will be a little longer.

6:15 to 7 PM - Social Meet & Greet at Psinergy (Suite 802/803)
7:00 to 8:30 PM - "Balanced Weight" Meditation at the Upper Midwest Hanmi Buddhist Assoc. (Suite 804)

*Note --- We do also have 2 spaces still currently available for lease in our building (Suite 801, and Suite 808 ---- we're checking to see if CiCi can be here so you can check out those spaces if you're looking - You can find the Classified in the February Edition on page 32)

*More info about the meditation:

Advertiser Tip: Change your ad up every 3-months to help readers notice your ad again. Don't have the tools or time to create your own ad? We have someone that can do it for you.

Events we'll be at this month

One of the best things about being part of such a well-received magazine is that we (and by extension our advertisers) are at many of the local events for Health, Wellness, and Green Products and services! If you're at one of these events, feel free to stop by the booth and say hello! There's a drawing for a $50 Gift Certificate to one of our advertisers going on this weekend also! Woot!

What do you have going on in March?

You can easily submit News Briefs right online. Health Briefs, Articles, and Community Spotlights need to be sent to [address removed] - though please review editorial guidelines which are available on the website. Keep in mind, advertisers get first consideration with any editorial content.

Calendar listings can also easily be submitted right online at: Online event listings are currently free.

Note: Magazine drop locations are eligible for up to 2 in-print calendar listings/month (if space is available). Due to space restrictions, not all submissions that are approved for our website will appear in print in our magazine. To guarantee a spot in the print magazine, print calendar listings start at only $20/mo. View the current calendar

Classified Ads: Classifieds are a great way to bring attention to your business. Are you looking to rent space, hire staff, looking for a location to hold a meeting? Classifieds are just another way to keep your name in front of your target market... and if you're a current advertiser, but don't have a calendar listing for the month, you can do a Classified Ad instead!

Classifieds are $1/word/month with a $20 minimum and must be pre-paid.
Concerned about creating a display ad? We have someone that can do that for you!

Let's Get Together

Want to talk about your advertising options with Natural Awakenings? Feel free to drop me an email at [address removed] or give me a call at[masked].

Please keep in mind, we normally don't like to just email over the Marketing Packet as it does have a lot of options, and we want to make sure that you're getting the best options, and that it's clear with everything that is included so you get the most out of your ad package.

We can either talk over the phone, or preferably, let's meet for coffee or tea at a local, small business and go over things in person, while also helping to support one of the many fantastic local businesses we have here in the Twin Cities.

Make it a great day,

Ad Sales
