What we’re about
We choose to be an intentional community or extended family of choice. We will create long-lasting, ongoing "committed" relationships with each other to provide togetherness, community, support, recreation, shared interests, and collaborative governance. We are based in Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
We are also organized around shared interests in Sustainability and green / ecological living, and hope to provide each other with learning and living opportunities for greater sustainability.
It is modeled after the idea of co-housing, but here with no assumption that we will be living in close proximity or with shared resources.
If you are familiar with the historical (and present-day) example of church congregations as a living community of people supporting one other and the broader community throughout their lifetimes, that could also be a model here. Substituting shared growth in Sustainability instead of any shared religious ideas.
We are open to and welcome people of any race, color, age, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, national origin or ethnicity, genetics, social background or class, disability, lifestyle or lifestyle restrictions, political party, or family or veteran status. We believe Black Lives Matter, and All Are Welcome Here.
We will only discriminate against discrimination itself. The group reserves the right to uninvite and exclude members who bring or sow hate, discord or divisiveness. We will have attitudes of cooperation and collaboration.
We discourage substance abuse but will support any efforts to leave addiction. Community itself is shown to be a strong antidote to addictions!
