Barbara Streisand in HELLO DOLLY (1969) from rare 70mm Archival Print

This will be a very rare occasion to see a 70mm archival print of the Barbara Streisand movie musical HELLO DOLLY. This is considered to be the last of the Hollywood's widescreen movie musical extravaganzas and was directed by legendary movie actor/dancer Gene Kelly.

This movie is so visually opulent, if you have only seen it on TV or at a conventional 35mm theater screening, I swear to you that you have really only literally seen and heard half the movie. Though HELLO DOLLY may not quite compare to The Sound Of Music or Funny Girl for overall content and performances--some of its individual scenes still override the entire movie and make it engaging, entertaining and well worth seeing. The "When The Parade Passes By" outdoor parade scene was shot, it was considered to be one of the most lavish movie musical productions ever filmed. Another show stopper is a cameo performance by the legendary Louis Armstrong.

PARKING: Virtually no free street parking is available in the neighborhood (the area mostly has 2 hour parking meters which will not be practical to use for a long movie), so be prepared to either park and walk some distance away or just bite the bullet and pay $15 or more for lot parking and not risk getting a much more expensive parking ticket.
