The one and only SUNSET BOULEVARD (1950) at the Egyptian Theater

Details

To celebrate Labor Day, we will view SUNSET BOULEVARD (1950) from a 35mm archival print on the big screen of the vintage Egyptian Theater. If you have never seen this film in a big theater with an audience, it is totally a different experience to lo and behold--especially with the memorable performance of the legendary actress Gloria Swanson.

One of this movie's iconic lines--William Holden's character says: "You used to be in silent pictures, you used to be big." Gloria Swanson's character replies: "I am big, it's the pictures that got small." Well, we will all have the chance to enjoy this classic on the Egyptian's BIG screen.

Winner of three Academy Awards, Billy Wilder’s powerful script orchestration of the bizarre tale is a true cinematic classic. From the unforgettable opening sequence through the inevitable unfolding of tragic destiny, SUNSET BOULEVARD is the definitive statement on the dark and desperate side of Hollywood.

TICKETS: General admission $15, American Cinematheque members $10
You can buy a ticket at the door or in advance online at the below weblink...
