Re: [pool-114] Friday Night - Ideas??

that sounds like a great idea. although I have not been able to make any of the meetups as of yet, I hope to. although summer weekends are filling up so I'll probably have to get over there some weekend that my wife works. at least thats probably the best chance that the weekend isn't booked. I play in a league and would like to meet others and to improve my game some. sounds like there are a few good players.
cya some time,

Subject: [pool-114] Friday Night - Ideas??

Hello pool meetup members!

I was talking to one of our members last weekend about how to make this meetup more successful and how to get people to continue coming to the meetups. If anyone has any suggestions on this subject - please share! I want input from every one of you because YOU'RE why we do this!

Obviously the main factor for this group is to play pool - one thing we all have in common that we like to do. But the idea of is to also MEET new people. So, at this next meetup we're going to try something new! I'm going to bring some round robin league scoresheets and we're going to play 5 on 5 teams! Each person from team A plays each person on team B one game; this way there will be more variety on who you play throughout the night, instead of just jumping on a table and playing against the same person the whole time. I think this will be a fun way to mingle and meet everyone, all while still playing pool!

If anyone would rather not do this, and would rather just play - that's fine too! Just trying to come up with more ideas to get everyone more involved and mixing it up a little!

Thank you to those of you who have RSVP'd - it really helps to get an idea of how many are coming each time. For those of you who haven't RSVP'd - please take a minute to do so - whatever your answer may be! Of course we'd love to see each and every one of you, but not everyone can make it to each meetup and we totally understand that - we just ask that you RSVP so we can get as accurate a head count as possible!

Craig, Daxs, and I will be at Shooter's by 7pm - so come on down whenever you can! We'll try to start the team play between 8 - 8:30pm so if you want to participate, please try to be there by then!

Thanks everyone for making our Twin Cities Pool Meetup Group Successful!
