Tea and Tales for Moms

Details

A gentle pause in the month—just for you.

Hi, I’m a new mom to a 7-month-old baby, and like many of you, I’m trying to raise a resilient, emotionally strong child while continuing to grow myself. I created this circle to connect with other mothers through books, reflection, and warm conversation.

Tea and Tales for Moms is a cozy, supportive reading group for mothers, mothers-to-be, or anyone passionate about parenting, motherhood, child development, and fiction that speaks to the heart.

We meet twice a month on Thursdays from 2:00–2:40 PM (CET) via Zoom. Occasionally, we also meet in person at a café in Frankfurt for anyone local.

### 💡 Our Rhythm

We aim to read one book per month, with two meetings:

  1. Midway Check-In – A relaxed conversation about how the reading is going, motivation to keep going, and space to talk about anything else on our minds (motherhood, life, or tea 🍵).
  2. End-of-Month Discussion – A focused but gentle conversation about the book, its themes, and how it connects to our lives and polls for next book

No pressure—come as you are, even if you’re just here to listen.

### 📚 What We Read

We alternate between:

  • Non-fiction: Parenting, child development, or motherhood memoirs
  • Fiction: Novels that explore family, identity, emotional depth or any fiction which group wants to read (not to get overwhelmed by parenting theme)

Types of books we love:

  • Gentle or conscious parenting guides
  • Memoirs of motherhood
  • Fictional stories about mothers and families
  • Books on emotional development and resilience
  • Occasional poetry or children’s literature with deeper meaning
  • Raising Resilient Kids
  • Emotional & Mindful Parenting
  • Feminism & Motherhood
  • Stay at Home Mothers/ Creative Mothers / Working Moms & Identity
  • Books for Our Inner Child

### 📌 Our Circle Guidelines

This is a space to exhale. To be real. To grow without pressure.

  1. Kindness first – Every mother’s journey is different.
  2. Come as you are – Book read or not, you’re welcome.
  3. One voice at a time – We listen with respect.
  4. Privacy matters – What’s shared in the group stays in the group
  5. Books chosen by group vote – Everyone has a say.
  6. Sharing is optional – Listening is powerful, too.

Ready for a warm, thoughtful pause in your motherhood journey?
Bring your tea, your thoughts, and your heart. Let’s grow through stories—together
