Green Is For Greetings
Details
“A beginning is the time for taking the most delicate care that the balances are correct."
A balance of leaves, water, heat, and time. The tea must flow!
We are taking our first step into Cozy-making with an inaugural gathering at the event space attached to Forest & Meadow, a lovely local herbal shop which (to my eye) is about equidistant N-to-S between the STL landmarks of Forest Park and Ted Drewes. In the tradition of global hospitali-tea, we will be sampling a few varieties of green tea, plus F & M has offered to share one of their 'nervous system calming' herbal blends. After the recent storms, a little calming sounds lovely (they also offer a "Get Cozy" variety, which seems on brand for us!).
I will undoubtedly say a few words about the teas and what distinguishes greens more generally, but mostly this is a chance for us to meet our fellow tea people, share stories while we sip, and discuss plans for future Cozy-ing. If you aren't able to join us this month, feel free to leave a comment on any topics, teas, and venues you'd like to have us explore in upcoming months.
Can't wait for us to raise a cuppa together!
[Nota bene: we are currently offering these teas and spaces at no charge, though of course any local business we visit would appreciate any additional purchases we make. If you would like to voluntarily contribute something to help cover our costs, you can make a donation via the Pledge feature of our group, with our thanks. But mostly we just want a chance to share our love of tea!]
