March Dossier: Buried Secrets & Author Event with Anne Hanson
Details
This March, the Tea & Tales Book Club invites you to step into the role of a historical detective. Our "March Dossier" focuses on the haunting and meticulous investigative work found in Buried Secrets: Looking for Frank and Ida.
We are not merely reading a memoir; we are reconstructing a lost lineage. To guide us through this labyrinth of archives, telegrams, and memory, we are honored to host a Special Author Event with Anne Hanson. This session will transcend a typical book discussion, offering a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to reclaim a family history that was nearly erased by the tides of the 20th century.
We are privileged to welcome Anne Hanson, whose expertise in narrative non-fiction and historical research brings a unique depth to this discussion. Anne will share her process of "unearthing" secrets, the ethical dilemmas of writing about the deceased, and the moments of serendipity that occur when a researcher refuses to give up.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a Live Q&A, where Anne will answer questions about her research methods, the emotional toll of historical discovery, and the specific challenges of the Frank and Ida case.
