The Human Rights Watch Film Festival is screening the US premiere of a film called EVERYTHING MUST FALL about the inadequacies of the South African education system and rising fees, and the protests that took place as a result.
The Q&A discussion after the screening will be on the theme of the parallels between the South African "EDUCATION SYSTEM" and the system in the US.
The moderator is Teboho Moja, Professor & Director, Higher Education Program at NYU, and she will moderate a panel with the filmmaker, a student activist who was involved in the South African protests, and a NYC high school student, Leanne Nunes, who works for IntegrateNYC, a youth-led organization that works on integration and equity in NYC schools.
