REAM #55: How do committees invent?

Details
Join us for our "Book Club for Scientific Articles"! You might have heard the phrase: "Designed by committee" thrown around. But what kind of designs are generated in this way? Conway suggests that organisations produce designs that tell use more about how the organisation is structured, and that the design reflects the communication structure of the organisation. Join us for details!
Anyone interested is welcome, but we strongly recommend reading the paper because that is the way to get most out of REAM.
The article can be found here:
Melvine E. Conway, How do committees invent?, 1968.
If it's your first time or you want to chat before the meeting we recommend arriving at 19:30.
Join our Discord server! We will be sharing links and continuing the discussion there.
If you never read a paper before we recommend reading:
S. Keshav, How to Read a Paper, 2007 which can be found here.
We are looking forward to the discussion, see you there!
