Extinction Rebellion with Team Human: Demanding Change in a Digital Age

Each month we're hosting guests to lead a conversation of shared interest that reflects the Team Human values.

This month we'll speak with Susan Rubin and Gregory Schwedock of Extinction Rebellion. Extinction Rebellion is a "do-it-together movement" using non-violent civil disobedience in an attempt to halt mass extinction and minimize the risk of social collapse. They intentionally move the conversation beyond the science of climate change, and address the issue as a hard truth impacting human lives, and needing to be addressed.

2019 has been a pinnacle year of change in the way that the mass media addresses the topic of climate change. We'll use our time with these movement leaders to learn about their methods and better understand what is driving this change in rhetoric. We'll explore different tactics taken to climate change and why Extinction Rebellion organizes in the way that it does.

Most importantly, we'll put our minds together to find how each of us can contribute towards this purpose.
