Malaga - SPAIN - November 2024
Details
This trip will now definitely go ahead on the above dates.
Most of the messages concerning this trip will be made using the "Step Too Far" Watsapp group.
The travel plan is as follows:
Wednesday 20th November, drive to Bristol area and stop overnight.
Thursday 21st November, Fly to Malaga from Bristol with Ryanair.
Flight FR4121 6:40am to 10:20am
My outward flight cost £33.99.
Sunday 24th November, Fly from Malaga to Bristol with Ryanair.
Flight FR4122 7:10pm to 8:55pm
My homeward flight cost £86.98
Those prices gives me a "random seat selection" and one small carry on bag, which should be fine for just a few nights. Accommodation in Malaga should be around £50-£60 per night.
Parking at Bristol Airport is about £10 per night.
As I needed travel insurance, I paid £29.83 for a year's cover.
Please RSVP for this trip to express an interest. An RSVP does not commit you to anything.
Once you have booked your flight, please leave a message in this Meetup event. We will then know who is going for sure. Thanks.
Malaga is a really lovely city to visit and there is lots to see and do. Here are a few that you should consider visiting.

Castle - Gibralfaro - Wikipedia
Picasso Museum - Museo Picasso Málaga - Wikipedia
I will book for myself, but not for anyone else. You will need to book your own flight, accommodation, travel to Bristol airport, travel insurance etc. Although I will not book for you I am happy to advise and answer any questions on one of our walks.
I would recommend that you book accommodation in or near the old town. The Alcazaba, a Roman Theatre and the castle are all within walking distance of the old town.
I suggest you take/share a taxi or Uber from Malaga Airport to your accommodation. It should cost between 20 and 25 Euros. To return to the airport, I would take the bus. It is very frequent, costs about 4 euros and leaves from outside Burger King, down near the seafront.
Coffees, beers, wines, meals etc are all very good value in Malaga. There are lots of places to eat and drink.
Please make sure that you have an up to date passport with at least six months to go from November.
