BOXING DAY WALK - 7 Miles - Porthtowan - Chapel Porth - Beacon and back.

Hopefully some of you will be able to join me on this Boxing Day walk. I also hope that it is not as dark as my photo!

We will meet in the beach carpark at Porthtowan. Parking in free and the the toilets should be open. The route will go over the cliffs to Chapel Porth, then up to the rough car park at the North Cliffs. From there we will head directly up to the Beacon. After some photos, we will come down the other side of the Beacon, and down to the lane back to Chapel Porth. All being well we will stop there for a picnic lunch. After lunch, it is a 20 - 25 minute walk back to the carpark at Porthtowan.

If the Blue Bar is open, and not too crowded, we can stop there for a drink before leaving for home.

I have not checked the tide times, but if the tide is out and it is safe we may walk across the beach between Porthtowan and Chapel Porth.

Guests and well behaved dogs are welcome. Please offer lifts if you can. If you are given a lift please offer to share fuel costs. Please arrive by 10:20 for a prompt start at 10:30am. Thank you.
