What weβre about
I created this group so we find someone to run or hike with in the Meyers area and surrounding!
We all have individual paces, experiences and goals, but sometimes it's nice to just get out with a group
Mindful - Id like to keep the group atmosphere positive and free of discrimination and politics. I reserve the right to remove anyone from this group at will.
(II'll add more to the page as I have time.)

DESCRIPTION: π πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ π π πΆββοΈ
- We will start from 1011 E. San Bernadino Ave., South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150 and walk around the 1-mile loop around Lake Baron.
- Meet near the playground/picnic area at Paradise park to start and
- Keep social distance to start - don't force your dog onto others.
- Walk with the group or keep your distance, your choice.
- Head back when you feel ready to go.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Water/bowl.
- Treats
- Leash trained and mostly quiet dog you can control.
- Potty bags
THINGS TO CONSIDER:
- You MUST pick up your dog's waste.
- Pack walks are not helpful for dogs who are not leash trained and you may inadvertently make leash manners worse. If this sounds like you, get involved in some desensitization and come back when they are better trained on leash with you in general.
- Dog reactive? Book me and let me set you up with a plan to effectively manage and counter condition this. 916 880 8165 text. Similarly, if your dog barks its head off, book a private session instead.
- Upon arriving, please keep social distance from other teams to give the dogs a chance to get used to each other.
β READ THESE RULES β
- We love all dogs, including pit bulls, chihuahuas, and everything in between! We love the pure bred and we love the mutts. We love the blockheads and the yappers, the furballs, the spicy nuggets, the small fries, the excitable, the jumpy, the unsure, the over the top happy...the one you call Friend. We do not allow breed, size or any other type of discrimination. β€
- Practice safe six from other dogs. Only introduce your dog AFTER the walk has commenced and ONLY IF it's okay with other owners. No sneak up butt sniffs.
- Respect your fellow dog handlers and keep your opinions to yourself. Dogs do not care about these things and I do not care to host events where there is arguing. Take it somewhere else pretty please!
- Overly vocal dogs need more one-on-one training. Read the narrative above. They are too annoying to deal with in a social situation.
- No Shock, choke collars. No retractable leashes
- No off-leash dogs permitted at this event.
- Inclement weather cancels the event.
Waiver: By participating in this walk, you release Kay's Dog Training, City of Meyers, Kay Gramm, Karen Gramm, Doggos LLC, and its officers, agents, volunteers, and representatives from liability for any injury that you or your dog may sustain, including injuries caused by negligence.
