Two presenters from Ikigai Digital, a FinTech consulting firm, will discuss AI-empowered product engineering. There have been heated debates regarding whether AI will replace developers versus how developers will leverage AI to enhance their delivery. How should developers adjust to the influence of AI? How can we shift left to become product engineers rather than just code machines, focusing on solving problems with AI as a tool?

We will casually organise this event at a nice atmosphere bar so you can enjoy it the most. Some food will be provided this time! 🍟🍕

AI-empowered product engineering

The topic is about how we, as developers, should shift our coding strategy and mindset with the introduction of AI. There are several popular posts on transitioning from being a software engineer who focuses on technology to becoming a product engineer who emphasizes the business domain. I believe that in the near future, AI will eventually take over the coding aspects. How should we adapt when that happens? Which parts of coding won't be replaced, and which parts will? How will our testing, coding standards, and approaches change?
