Join us for an engaging talk on attention mechanisms in image analysis. Inspired by the seminal paper "Attention is all you need," we will explore how attention mechanisms enable models to focus selectively on relevant regions or features within an image, improving object recognition, precise localization, and generating accurate results.
Together with the Senior ML Engineer, Tahreem Rasul, we will discuss different attention mechanisms, including spatial and channel attention, and examine their strengths and optimal applications.
Moreover, we will delve into integration approaches, such as incorporating attention modules into convolutional neural network architectures or directly integrating attention into network layers. These approaches allow models to learn both spatial and channel awareness simultaneously.
