Ever wonder why some unit tests are hard to understand or brittle — in that they start failing when working on a totally different part of the production code, or if they’re failing, you’re not sure what’s wrong?
Wonder no more — in this hands-on meetup, we will take an in-depth look at what makes unit testing fast, easy to understand, and stable.
During the 2 hours, we go through basics of good (unit) test design, where we both look at existing test code, and write unit tests ourselves. So please come prepared with your favorite programming language, IDE and possibly having cloned the following repo: https://github.com/swkBerlin/kata-bootstraps.
The meetup is facilitated by Aki Salmi and Sami Lunnamo. Aki has more than 10 years of experience of facilitating and running technical meetups and trainings, resulting in hundreds of hours of actual facilitation accumulated over his career of two decades. Sami is still learning on the public speaker track, but has a solid track record of coaching and facilitating meetings and workshops within several companies over his 13 years in the business.
