Pay what you can to support the sustainability of the Tech for Good community.
*We All Gonna Make It.
A now-popular Web3 term, mostly used in the Crypto and NFT space to express camaraderie to fellow traders, friends or followers. It's a rallying cry for everyone to be successful in the space, but is it really possible...?
Lauren Woolf joins Tech for Good NZ to speak at our first breakfast event. Lauren is a creative, a change-maker, an all around amazing human and we cannot wait for her to share her story and recent deep dive into the world of Web3.
Doors open at 8:00am, for a 8:10 start.
There will be tea, coffee and pastries to be enjoyed.
A huge thank you to Spark Foundation for hosting this event.
About
Lauren Woolf has a career in advertising and marketing that spans over 25 years, of which most were spent in senior leadership roles at Ogilvy, British American Tobacco, and in the marketing services company she started then sold in Switzerland; Antipod. Today, Lauren is the Alpha Woolf at MRS WOOLF, a strategic brand consultancy that works with clients to build and manage creative projects. MRS WOOLF attracts companies, partners and leaders with heart and soul, that are as fierce about building value in business as they are about making a difference - and who recognise the importance of creativity as a critical driver of both.
Lauren has been based in New Zealand for the past 2 years consulting on various projects in SA, as well as the UK and USA and last year was the project lead for the New Zealand Tech (NZ Tech) global Brand Story. She's the co-founder of The Lockdown Collection (TLC), a social impact art initiative that saw millions raised for artists through the pandemic and is a marketing mentor for Youth Arts New Zealand (YANZ).
Last year, feeling inspired to stay ahead of the curve, Lauren took a deep dive into Web3, fascinated by the landscape and interested as to how the 'new internet' would impact creativity, marketing, brands, clients - and her teenage sons. She's just jumped off a project as Head of Marketing on a global NFT launch based in NYC which she confesses was the steepest learning curve of her life.
She's joining us to share her experience, what projects and people in the space have inspired her through impact, and the joy (and pain) she's had from her latest learning journey.
So, if you're keen to know more about what WAGMI means, and why humanity and creativity are still at the heart of everything, she's looking forward to meeting you all.
ABOUT TECH FOR GOOD NZ
Tech for Good New Zealand is a network bringing together those interested in how technology is used within social impact projects and organisations. Whether you are a charity, community group, social enterprise, tech whizz, digital marketer, or just someone interested in social tech, these events are to help make these connections and create a supportive, collaborative community around tech for good and enabling social impact in Auckland and beyond.
Our events are informal and foster discussion with a mix of speakers from innovation and social change organisations, and case studies from across the social impact sector. There will be opportunity to share ideas, your projects, your challenges and opportunities and we also encourage those across the digital tech and creative industries to get involved and share experiences and knowledge on technology as an enabler for change.
We busy approaching awesome people to share their learnings and case studies - if you have a recommendation please do share! We will keep adding our event details here.
