Topic of Main Talk - Lessons learned from technical mentoring of Africa’s Cloud Engineers
A Developer Advocate advocates for the community internally, making sure that product always considers the community experience. Developer Advocates also provide technical nurturing of the community, all with the goal of helping them use the technologies successfully to build innovative products. Prior to joining AWS, Veliswa always had a passion for mentoring, and she started doing this at times as part of mentoring programs offered by Offerzen and SheSharp, to name a few. Now a Developer Advocate at Amazon Web Services (AWS), Veliswa has continued to mentor the next generation of cloud engineers. In this session, she will share her learnings from her time spent providing technical mentoring. Join to learn how you can approach mentoring of entry level technical personas to build a pipeline of technical talent.
