Topic of Main Talk - Delivering the World’s Largest Radio Telescope: From Product Delivery to Commissioning at SKAO MID

Building SKA-Mid, the world’s largest radio telescope, demands more than advanced science; it requires disciplined digital product delivery at scale. In this talk, Adriaan De Beer (SKAO MID AIV Atlas Product Owner) and Oscar Moyo (SKAO MID AIV Lead) will share how SKAO MID manages the full lifecycle: from awarding contracts and receiving hardware/software, through testing in the Integration Test Facility, integration into production environments, verification, and ultimately commissioning into operations. Alongside the technical journey, they will reflect on leadership lessons in managing complexity, aligning diverse teams, and delivering under global constraints.
