Topic of Main Talk - You can’t copilot your way out of an old operating model

Most companies are pretending to adopt AI because they’re not yet willing to redesign the company around intelligence.

As we move beyond demos, pilots, and tool rollouts, we need to ask what work looks like when intelligence becomes part of the operating model itself. The future is exciting: smaller teams can do more, good people can spend less time moving context around, and companies can become faster, clearer, and more responsive. But getting there will be uncomfortable. It means rethinking org structure, data, roles, permissions, and how teams make decisions. A practical, optimistic look at what it takes to move from AI at the edges to intelligence at the core of how a company works.

Keagan Stokoe is the co-founder and CEO of Verascient. He was previously part of the founding team at Fibertime and started his career as an engineer at Explore AI. Verascient is building an operating system for AI-native companies: tools, context, and workflows for teams that want to redesign how work happens around intelligence.
