Topic of Main Talk - The rise of the context lake: The next evolution of data architecture

With over 10 years of experience across data, analytics, and executive leadership, I currently serve as Chief Technology Officer (Enterprise) at Lesaka Technologies Inc. Alongside this, I am Co-Founder of Huppi, a fintech startup building smarter financial tools for entrepreneurs navigating multi-currency environments.

My career has been shaped by the intersection of data and real business impact. As Director of Engineering: Machine Learning and Director of Data and Analytics at Teya, I led teams building ML pipelines and data infrastructure at scale. I also served as Head of Data at Rauva, a digital banking platform for entrepreneurs.

I hold a Hons BComm in Operations Research from the University of Stellenbosch and bring deep expertise in statistics, data modelling, and Python. I'm passionate about combining data, technology, and entrepreneurship to build solutions that genuinely move the needle — whether scaling enterprise operations or building something new from scratch.
