Join me for a walking tour of one of London's most eclectic areas. One of my favourite areas for walking around, it's got a truly peaceful aura to it and is crammed full of history and interesting characters.

Meet Goodge Street Underground Station @ 11am - 11.15
Fee £12

Known not only for its literary connections, Bloomsbury also has links to the aristocracy, medicine and politics. Throw in glorious architecture and gorgeous garden squares and it makes for a feast for the senses. Where else would you find the Bloomsbury Group, Pre - Raphaelites, the inventor of Pfizer, Ted Hughes and Sylvia Plath , Mad George 3rd, not so mad George Orwell and TS Eliot and the story of the chocolate sauce and you have a mixed array of stories ...... And, oh yes, there's also the missing queen and a Carry On star......................

We finish by Russell Square, close to a great pub and lots of cafes, where I, for one , will be partaking. Feel free to join me!

It is imperative that you let me know if you cant come as I will wait till 11.15 for anyone whose name is on the list and if they do not turn up it isn't fair on the group for them to hang around if those attending are all there and ready to go.

Please note that at traffic lights i will always wait for the green man signal- if there is one -and that at other crossings and on the streets generally attendees need to be vigilant.

Guided walk £12 - payable on the day
