Hello fellow techies! Welcome to “Tech meets Entertainment." This group was formed to promote interest in the role technology plays in various forms of entertainment - the intersection between the two - technologies including, but not limited to [creative coding, location based mapping, immersive entertainment - AR/VR, CGI/VFX, web apps, mobile apps, games, and the tech industry in general].
We aim to grow awareness, inform, network, and potentially show how various technologies are leveraged. All are welcome as the focus is also to network with others in the community. We plan to run various events live online which will include networking and guest speakers ranging from a pre-formatted agenda to an Ask Me Anything style (AMA) format.
To get and keep conversations going and build our community, I've created a discord server for our group. The server has various rooms for voice and text chats where we can hold casual networking and happy hour chats, so check it out if you're interested!The link should not expire and is available to anyone who has it (if you have any issues don't hesitate to DM me). I would recommend downloading the discord app on your device/computer as it would be easier to manage.
We also have a YouTube channel where all the recorded sessions will be kept, so if you missed a particular session and we were able to get approval to record and upload it...you'll find it there.
