Machine Learning: its universe, tools, challenges and wonders

Details

Hey Tech Sharers!

After a well-deserved break, we're so excited to be back for our 1st meet-up of 2019, and what a meet-up!

Everyone has been talking about it, it's the current hottest topic of AI and you're still wondering what all the fuss is about?

Join us and learn anything you need to know about Machine Learning.
With 2 talks from our Data Science experts, you'll be able to get a clear and inspiring understanding of ML, its tools, challenges, and wonders.

1st talk: Welcome to the Machine Learning universe...

Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning... Such hype topics!
Beyond the buzz words, what is this really about?
What’s under the hood?
Most of these algorithms concepts are actually very old. We'll dig into them to understand why it is all happening only now.
We’ll cover some of the most important concepts in Machine Learning and understand the classic problems these algorithms are trying to solve.
We'll then take a look at a quick functional example and provide guidelines on how to avoid common mistakes!

Spoiler alert: Machine Learning is no magic…

2nd talk: TensorFlow: black box for everyone

Let's start a journey of learning how to implement Machine Learning functionality for beginners.
We'll start by digging into problems which cannot be solved using trivial approaches.
We'll make an introduction to TensorFlow - a tool which simplifies usage of ML algorithms and allows cross-platform implementation of functionality.

Some of the features cover:

  • Common mistakes of using TensorFlow;
  • How to monitor the model training process;
  • How to use object detection API.
    In conclusion, a live demonstration of a trained model will be showcased to detect a simple pattern recognition using a video.

Agenda:

6:00 pm: Welcome, drinks and food
6:30 pm: Welcome to the universe of Machine Learning
7:15 pm: Tensorflow
7:45-8:00 pm: Networking and Wrap up
