What we’re about
# 🍻 Tech Startups in the Pub – London & Lagos Editions 🚀
While many co-working spaces run events for their members, and plenty of talks cater to specific roles or stages, we wanted something different: a casual, open meetup where anyone connected to startups can feel at home.
You could be exploring the idea of founding a startup for the very first time, or already a seasoned operator with stories to share, everyone’s welcome.
What makes Tech Startups in the Pub work is the mix, early-stage dreamers, experienced founders, product folks, engineers, investors, and community builders all in the same room, swapping stories and ideas. The conversations are relaxed, peer-to-peer, and often spark unexpected connections. Whatever your background, you’ll find people you can learn from and people who can learn from you.
We’re excited to share that the community is now running in three flavours:
- London → Now twice a month:
- 1st Wednesday at Simmons Bar, Oxford Street
- 3rd Friday at The Windmill, Shoreditch
- Lagos, Nigeria → Every 3rd Thursday at The Nest Lounge, hosted by Alfred and CC
👉 What to expect:
- A friendly, welcoming crowd of founders, operators, and startup enthusiasts
- Wristbands from the hosts in London so you know who’s part of the group
- Reserved space in Lagos so it’s easy to find everyone
- Zero hard selling, zero pressure — just genuine connections
📍 Venues
- London – Oxford Street: Simmons Bar, 203 Wardour St, W1F 8ZH (1st Wednesday, from 6 PM)
- London – Shoreditch: The Windmill, 27 Tabernacle St, EC2A 4DE (3rd Friday, from 6 PM)
- Lagos – The Nest Lounge: (3rd Thursday, from 6 PM)
House Rules
- Say hi to the hosts (Oliver, Pedro, Rob, Rob in London; Alfred & CC in Lagos) and grab a wristband/intro.
- No hard selling or heavy pitching — this is about building community.
- Not drinking? No problem — come for the people and conversation.
